Jag är väldigt nöjd med mediresor, kliniken, läkaren, personalen. Allt är jättebra! Annars skulle inte komma tillbaka flera gånger. planerar ytterligare operationer också.

February, 2020 – Behandling av lipödem 8 område (inre och yttre lår + främre låret och övre armar)

My experience of your follow-up and advise was prompt, friendly and helpful.

I did however not realize that you were an agency as such, so when I came to the hospital and did not see your name on the door, nor immediately be able to reach you, I had a moment of panic. Fortunately I met another surgeon who recognized the name of the surgeon I had an appointment with. But for a second, I did wonder if I had been duped. If you had linked the clinic’s name with yours more clearly, this would have been avoided. But it was just a moment.

My experience with the surgeon was brief, but professional and friendly. She clearly is experienced and she was able to provide me with the treatment I needed.

1. about the clinic.The clinic itself was very modern, clean, nice rooms, and the staff were professional and friendly and spoke good English.

In general, I am very pleased about the treatment done, even though my recovery was tougher than I anticipated due to my low iron-levels for the first 2 weeks. It clearly also is a tough procedure but for someone who have struggled with lipedema for some years, it feels like my body is functioning more normal again which is a relief.  For example, for the first time in 6 years, I am actually loosing weight when I restrict my calory-intake. No matter what I did in the past, the weight simply did not shift. So, I know this was the right decision for me.

Apart from that, I am still very much in the recovery phase from the surgery. I experience swellings (particularly in the evening) low sensation and a numbness on my skin.

I have done quite a lot of research and found information in lots of different places. However, I would have liked more information on what to expect (or possibly expect) after the surgery to reduce my uncertainty. And I am still a bit unsure if what I am experiencing is perfectly normal.

But apart from this, I have nothing but good things to say about the clinic, the surgery, and the agency.

January, 2019 – Behandling av lipödem

Jag har fullt förtroende för alla inblandade och kommer att boka även min nästa operation via Mediresor.”

December, 2018 – Behandling av lipödem

Dr.Kirjanen was very sympathetic and knew exactly what was needed to be done. I plan to come back after three months to get rid of the last problem areas.”

November, 2018 – Behandling av lipödem

“I don’t have any pain
any more and I had to buy new clothes because the old ones didn’t
suit any more. My whole body feels much better, I can move much
easier and I don’t collect a lot of fluid in my body. I drink and go
to the toilet after each other. Before I didnt produce urine almost
at all in daytime. I had pain and had to get up at least once at
night. Also I was very tired and had to rest many hours after work.
In fact I had rather little time that I could be active after work.
Now I have a lot more energy and I feel I have a life and a future.”

Super helpful and knowledgable, I truly feel I can trust them in doing the best for me. Well informed in the diagnosis lipedema, and took my personal background in concideration.

So skilled! I absolutley trust her 110 % in doing the best for me. Also well informed in lipedema and took my personal background in concideration. Honest in what results I could expect and advised me well. For example we desided to start by just taking the top of my buttocks, not all of it, because I had most pain at the top and see if it will be enough to avoid a saggy bum…

3. about the clinic.

Super clean and absolutley one of the best hospitals I have seen. The staff was great, skilled and helpful and took so good care of me and answered all my questions. I usually get super stressed at hospitals but the staff was so calm and nice so I wasn’t that stressed at all. Same goes for the anesthesia doctor, he was calm, skilled and well informed in my personal background and diagnosis, and as a bonus he spoke some Swedish  The after care was superb!

I will do my next lipedema surgery at the same clinic and the same surgeon, and I absolutley recommend them. So happy with my results so far, and I still have som healing to do.
